Traumatic Injury Case Study Shows Significant Relief

CASE STUDY: A 23-year-old male was hospitalized for a fractured pelvis. He had fallen down a flight of stairs.

He was diagnosed with a Malgaigne-type pelvic fracture, which consisted of two vertical fractures on one side of the pelvic ring.

Five weeks later he sought Chiropractic care. The patient complained of severe low back pain, leg pain, neck pain and headaches.

Several low back orthopedic tests were administered. X-rays revealed a ununited type 1 Malgaigne fracture on the inner edge of the pelvis; other tests showed absent Achilles deep tendon reflexes. A Chiropractic examination detected subluxations at the patient’s lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine.

The patient received contact-specific, high-velocity, low-amplitude Chiropractic adjustments on the back and pelvic regions.

The patient responded positively to care and reported significant pain relief.

In less than a three-month period, the patient returned to work on regular duty.
